Building Bridges: Enhancing Project Success through Stakeholder Engagement

Join Annissa Hansen (UQ Business School) and David da Silva as they discuss how to engage stakeholders to achieve project success. Annissa and David will discuss the realities of realising benefits, engaging with a complex web of stakeholders, and how project team members can foster a strong sense of team to support each other as they drive change.

Topics covered:

With the post-COVID era emerging and increasing diversity of stakeholders comes the challenge of achieving success on a project. To respond to these challenges, teams are realising the importance of building strong connections with stakeholders from project initiation to closure. This includes defining project success, engaging with stakeholders, and strong teamwork.

To realise benefits and create value for their organisations, leaders are realising the importance of defining project success in terms of stakeholders being engaged and utilising the outputs from the project. However, the increase in hybrid working and greater expectations of collaboration with interrelated projects and organisations creates a more complex environment in which to drive change. For those leading, managing and contributing to projects, this complexity emphasises the need for a connected, supportive team who all demonstrate strong collaboration and negotiation skills to achieve project outcomes.

This webinar will touch on realising benefits through project stakeholders, engaging with complex stakeholder groups and creating a supportive team environment. We will discuss tools and techniques we’ve recently used and successful practises we’ve observed to engage stakeholders in achieving project benefits.
